Examine different pathways of nutrition transition through food supply, food prices, household food expenditures, diets, and nutrition outcomes in Vietnam
Results
Vietnam is at the start of its nutrition transition, undernutrition is falling and obesity is rising, NCD is lead to more death. F&V supply is plentiful, but vegetable consumption has dropped while meat and milk consumption have risen. Availability of sweets have risen. More food is being consumed away from home. Daily fresh food purchases dominate food purchasing behavior.
