The urgent transformation of food systems can take place through the support of public policies facilitating the transformation of ideas, knowledge and practices for healthy and sustainable food, ecologically and culturally.
Our research suggests that the return of cooking and healthy foods to living and working environments and public institutions must be at the heart of this transformation. The NOVA system helps guide this transformation, as demonstrated by the 2014 Brazilian Food Guide.
